Blackfin
Risk Disclosure and Terms

1. General Disclaimer

Blackfin is a decentralized yield protocol that connects user-staked assets to a curated network of hedge funds, derivative and spot exchanges, and lending platforms. By interacting with the protocol, you acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in decentralized finance (DeFi), smart contracts, and third-party financial ecosystems.

2. No Trading of User Funds

Blackfin does not directly trade user funds. The protocol acts as a bridge, directing liquidity to external partners and platforms through automated smart contract logic. Users remain responsible for understanding the risks associated with these third-party strategies and venues.

3. No Guarantees of Returns

All yield rates displayed are variable and not guaranteed. Returns may fluctuate based on market performance, liquidity partner strategies, and execution risks. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

4. Smart Contract and Technical Risk

Despite being built with security best practices, Blackfin smart contracts may still carry unknown bugs, vulnerabilities, or exploit risks. Users should only stake what they can afford to lose.

5. Losses, Impermanent Loss, and Illiquidity

  • Blackfin is not liable for any losses resulting from:
  • Smart contract failures
  • Volatile market conditions
  • Impermanent loss from liquidity provision
  • Partner platform insolvency
  • Periods of illiquidity, delayed withdrawals, or slippage
  • You acknowledge that these risks are a natural part of interacting with DeFi protocols and third-party integrations.

6. Custodial Responsibility

Blackfin is a non-custodial protocol. Users are solely responsible for managing their wallets, private keys, and account security. Blackfin cannot retrieve lost access or reverse transactions.

7. Governance and Protocol Structure

Blackfin is managed by contributors and protocol validators. It does not operate as a licensed financial entity or investment advisor. Participation is voluntary and decentralized.

8. Regulatory Considerations

Blackfin operates in a permissionless and KYC-free environment. It is your responsibility to comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including taxation, reporting, and digital asset regulations.

9. Do Your Own Research (DYOR)

You are strongly encouraged to do your own research (DYOR) before staking, interacting with, or relying on the Blackfin protocol. This includes understanding the smart contract code, partner platforms, potential risks, and the economic model. Participation in DeFi is inherently risky and requires informed decision-making.

10. Use at Your Own Risk

By using Blackfin, you agree to do so entirely at your own risk. The protocol and its contributors disclaim all responsibility for losses, damages, or failures related to your interaction with the platform.
